Robert Westra, M.S., D.V.M.
Dr. Westra grew
up in Illinois
but relocated to the Pacific Northwest after serving
in the Peace Corps for three years in Malawi, Africa.
Initially, he moved to Alaska
where he worked for a number of years as a marine biologist. His experience working with marine mammals
and seabirds led to a position with the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric
Association as a science SCUBA diver in Hawaii. Dr. Westra eventually enrolled in Washington State University
where he received a Masters degree in Wildlife Ecology. He then attended WSU’s College of Veterinary
Medicine where he graduated in 2008. Dr. Westra has a diverse interest in
veterinary medicine but is particularly focused in diagnostic imaging with
advanced training in ultrasound, internal medicine and surgery. He seeks to offer the finest, most
compassionate care to all his patients.
